Resort Round-up

Welcome to another edition of Resort Round-up which gives an insight into some of the fun and fabulous activities, events and special occasions enjoyed by homeowners within our Living Gems communities. Here are just a few:

At Amber by Living Gems there were major celebrations held to welcome the opening of the over-50s lifestyle resort’s much awaited $10.5-million Country Club which is set to become the hub of the community. It will also be a wonderful venue for future entertainment and social events, many of which are already in the planning stages and no doubt will feature on these pages in coming months.

Games, singing and dancing were enjoyed by more than 80 people attending a recent Saturday Night Live event held at Ruby by Living Gems. The night began with music while residents caught up with friends, neighbours and family. There were gifts for all the women and lucky prizes for different activities.

The night’s compere, Michael, had everyone play a Pick-a-Box game while Lia hosted a dancing game of elimination called Monte Carlo with around 30 competitors. Resident, Alan Voss, entertained the crowd with his singing and playing of popular songs, while joke teller Janet sparked great laughter, and fellow resident Jenny sang a special number. A great night was had by all!

Residents of Living Gems Caboolture Riverfront recently packed the dance floor for the Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band, Rumours, show. The resort’s entertainment program is really taking off with music lovers also enjoying a fabulous show that saw The Linda Ronstadt Tribute Show and the Boogie Boys team up.

The show nights are attracting up to 200 people with the next concert set to feature husband and wife duo, MikaT. Held in the Country Club, these fabulous nights are organised by the resort’s Showtime Booking Queen, Gayle Harris, who has already arranged for tribute bands Neil Diamond and the Australian Eagles Band for future events.

Living Gems Caboolture Riverfront residents have also been hitting the road in their vans together for a tour around NSW.

Meanwhile, Sapphire by Living Gems’ Resort Manager Natalie Bean is stepping out of her comfort zone to raise money for women’s heart health as part of the Wild Women on Top Coastrek 2024 challenge on the Sunshine Coast. The event will take place on Friday, 19 July. Money raised by Natalie and her friends from the 20 km Coolum to Noosa trek will benefit the Heart Foundation.
